Are you kidding me?
They're gonna re-make Totall Recall? ... What? - they already did?!
Get the fuck out of here with that!
Here's a few reasons why they shouldn't re-make it:
1. It was prety much perfect as is Believe me - if you've watched it as many times as my friend Ryan and I have, you'll realize that it's a flawless cineamtic experience.
2. Re-makes usually suck Planet of the Apes? The Tim Burton one?! Fuck outta here with that! Marky Marks' alright and all, but every now and again he must just turn bright red about the fact that he had anything to do with that nonsense.
3. Times change. But not THAT fast! When you remake some movie from the 40's or 50's sixty years later for a new audience, it usually seems captivating and original. Later on, they might find out it was a re-make and a small percentage of them might track down the original, but for the most part the torch is passed - and that's how it's remembered. The Fugitive, The Italian Job, The Manchurian Candidate? Alright - nicely done! Nothing wrong with those, but it felt like a whole different level of movemaking and storytelling was reached between the original and the re-make.
Sure there's been advances in the Hollywood craft over the last 21 years but usually when you see a re-make these days it's just cheap CGI and a shittier, watered-down version of the story. Maybe I'm becoming an old fuck but whatever.
Check out these bad bitches and tell me how you could improve on perfection...
